Four classical divas, beautiful, and each
a virtuoso on their instrument, create music that is truly
global and genre defying.
On electric violin, electric cello, percussion and piano
they fuse classical with musical styles ranging from rock
to dance, jazz to hip hop.
MEGAN McCARTHY (PERCUSSION)
Megan McCarthy began her musical training at the age of 3
in Frankfurt, Germany. At 13, she developed a passion for
percussion and began specializing on mallet instruments,
timpani and hand percussion.
Megan has twice toured America with musical groups,
including the Crossmen Drum Corps. She is a percussion
performance major and Governor’s scholar at California
State University and is on the President’s Honor list.
Megan regularly performs in orchestral, steel drum, rock,
African and Brazilian groups.
ALI WOOD (PIANO)
Ali Wood was the first Australian pianist to make an
American debut at Carnegie Hall. She has performed over
500 concerts in 26 countries on 6 continents. She has
performed for heads of state and royalty and works
extensively with young musicians and underprivileged
children.
Ali began piano lessons at the age of 4 and at 13 became
the youngest pianist in Australia to be awarded the
Performers Diploma with Distinction. She was the Arts
Award winner for the Young Australian of the Year Awards
and the recipient of the emeritus medal for music from the
University of The Andes, in Venezuela.
TINA GUO (CELLO)
Tina Guo was born in Shanghai, China and began her musical
education at the age of 3.
Tina has appeared as a soloist with many American
orchestras and as a recitalist has been featured on PBS
television. Her awards and competition successes are
numerous, including the “Most Promising Talent” Award at
the California Young Artists Competition and first prize
at the California State Solo Competition.
Tina is a Governor’s Scholar at the University of Southern
California, a member of the Elite Students of America and
the National Honor Role.
AUDREY SOLOMON (VIOLIN)
Audrey Solomon has performed throughout America as a
recitalist, a soloist with orchestra and a chamber
musician.
She graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music and
the University of Southern California where she received a
Masters degree. Audrey represented Alaska in the Miss
America Pageant 2001.
She has performed on stage with Britney Spears, Il Divo,
and Saturday Night Live, as well as in the recording
studio with Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, and Mandy
Moore.
