The dynamic Irish/American conductor Derek Gleeson is Music Director of the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rachmaninov Festival Orchestra. He has released CD recordings on BMG/Windham Hill, Albany Records, Carlton Classics/IMP with the London Philharmonic, and most recently, Dvorak’s New World Symphony with the Dublin Philharmonic. He led t
he orchestra on a ten week tour of 49 cities in 24 states in 2009, and the next year toured China, with a televised concert reaching 400 million people. He has a parallel career as a film score composer, and has served as Jury Chairman of the Irish Film & Television Awards. Read More
