Sebastiano De Filippi
BIO:Sebastiano De Filippi is considered by the press one of the most interesting conductors among the maestros emerged in recent years from Latin America. As a guest conductor, he has worked in the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Holland, Czechia, Egypt and Korea. Well-known for his work on the concert platform as for his expertise in the orchestra pit, his performance of Verdi’s Aida earned him the first of two prizes awarded by Argentina’s Music Critics Association. Since 2013 he is Music Director of the Orquesta de Cámara del Congreso Nacional in Buenos Aires, position for which he was selected among more than seventy applicants through an international tender organized in collaboration with Argentina’s Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, an ensemble he has also guest conducted several times after that occasion.
